Dutch court rejects Maxeon’s injunction plea

On May 16, 2024, the District Court of The Hague in the Netherlands ruled on Maxeon’s application for a temporary injunction against Aiko. The court concluded that Aiko’s ABC products did not infringe Maxeon’s patent EP2297788B1 and denied the injunction. Maxeon had filed patent infringement lawsuits in November and December 2023 in Germany and the Netherlands, respectively, alleging infringement of its patent EP2297788B1 by Aiko’s ABC products. Aiko claims that the Dutch court’s decision, based on test reports from top European institutions, supports its commitment to innovation and intellectual property protection.
