AFRY aids Aboitiz Power’s Calatrava project in Philippines

Aboitiz Solar Power, Inc., a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation, has selected AFRY as owner’s engineer for a 172 MW PV plant in Negros Occidental, Philippines, to integrate its power into the Visayas grid. Spanning 143 hectares, the Calatrava project features fixed ground-mounted solar panels and connects to the Calatrava substation via 230kV voltage. AFRY provides project management, design review, and support services for construction and commissioning, targeting grid electricity export by the end of 2024. The project is part of Aboitiz Power’s portfolio, aiming to deliver nearly 3,700 MW of renewable energy by 2030.
