US-based AES has introduced Maximo, an AI-powered robot designed to expedite and enhance solar panel installation safety. According to AES, Maximo can halve installation time and costs compared to traditional methods. With features like precise panel placement and continuous learning, Maximo is set to revolutionize solar project execution. The robot has already installed nearly 10 MW of solar energy and will be deployed at the 2 GW Bellefield project, supporting Amazon’s operations. AES aims to install 100 MW of solar panels using Maximo by 2025, contributing to its broader 5 GW solar capacity goal.
