Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power has entered China with over 1 GW of PV and wind projects across multiple provinces. The portfolio will be partially or fully owned by the company and partners. Investments are in the advanced stages, with no financial details disclosed. Executive Vice President Lyu Yunhe stated plans to invest up to $50 billion in China by 2030, targeting 1.3 GW of renewable energy capacity in the country by the end of 2024.
