Actis, a global investor in sustainable infrastructure, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) and its subsidiary Solar Philippines New Energy Corporation to invest in the Terra Solar Project. Located in Luzon, Philippines, the project will be the world’s largest integrated solar and energy storage facility, combining 3.5 GW of PV capacity with 4.5 GWh of battery energy storage. The project spans 3,500 hectares and will power approximately 2.4 million households through an 850 MW, 20-year power supply agreement with Meralco. By displacing coal, the project will reduce carbon emissions by 3.6 million tons annually.
