Voltalia secures 128 MW solar power contract from Ørsted in Ireland

France-based renewable energy leader Voltalia, a , has secured a contract from Denmark’s Ørsted to handle the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 128 MW solar power plant in County Carlow, Ireland. This marks their first collaboration, with this turnkey project adding to Voltalia’s over 540 MW of solar capacity completed or under construction in the country. In July 2023, Voltalia was chosen by Ireland’s ESB and Bord na Móna to construct the 108 MW Timahoe North solar farm. Furthermore, Power Capital Renewable, also Ireland-based, awarded Voltalia four PV projects totaling 230 MW in August 2023. The company also signed a major contract with ESB in summer 2024 to build the 75 MW Middleton House power plant.
