Germany’s RWE a leading renewable energy company, and Peabody announced a partnership to develop 5.5 GW of renewable energy projects across reclaimed lands in Indiana and Illinois. The projects, managed by R3 Renewables, include 10 large-scale solar and battery storage developments. This initiative, expected to power 850,000 homes, promotes renewable energy in the MISO region while fostering economic growth through job creation and increased tax revenues. RWE acquired a majority stake in R3 Renewables.
